Srinagar, July 16: No last defense. Three jawans and an army officer were martyred in the gunfight with the militants. Yesterday, Monday night, five members of the security forces were injured. Among which was the army officer. Today, Tuesday, three jawans and an army officer died among them. Another soldier admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. Union Minister and Udhampur MP Jitendra Singh expressed grief after hearing the news of the incident. On receiving information from secret sources, the joint forces started searching the Dehri and Urarbari forest areas of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, Monday evening in search of militants. Members of special forces of Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police took part in it. The joint forces started firing after finding the militants. As soon as they were cornered, the militants opened fire at the soldiers. Five soldiers were seriously injured. Kashmir Tigers, a branch of the Pakistan-backed militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed, has claimed responsibility for the entire incident. The joint forces are still fighting with the militants in the valley. It has been a turbulent valley for quite some time. Militants are attacking various districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Which is suppressed by the joint forces.
