Calcutta doctors adamant about strike, withdraw in Delhi

Sangbad Kolkata: The doctors of Delhi AIIMS called off the strike after 11 days after the Supreme Court’s message became clear. The list includes Rammanohar Lohia, Loknayak (LNJP) Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, Lady Hardinge, GTB Hospital. However, due to the RG tax scandal, the strike across the country, the city of Kolkata did not respond to the appeal of the Supreme Court. AIIMS said on the one hand, doctors are deciding to return to work for the sake of serving the country and people.

Protests started across the country when the incident of rape and murder of a female doctor came to light in the seminar hall of RG Kar on August 9. The junior doctors have called a nationwide strike from August 12. Even though the emergency department and outdoor were open in Kolkata, none of them joined the work. As a clarification, the service has not been stopped. Senior doctors are watching. Juniors only observe senior doctors. They come to the final decision. Still, if there is a problem in the service, it must be said that the hospital has an infrastructural problem.

And the protestors of Kolkata clarified that the strike will continue until all the accused directly and indirectly connected with the incident are arrested. That is, suffering will continue. The question of the patient’s family, ‘how much longer? Even if the CBI passes six months?’ That answer, however, did not emerge from the center of the movement.
