Subhash Pal, The founder of Sangbad Kolkata, has been involved in journalism since 2001 in various newspapers. In 2008, he joined the editing department of the internet edition of “Bartaman” newspaper. He has worked in this digital department for 14 years. He realized this while working in the digital department of the newspaper. Besides, he had been dreaming of editing a newspaper since his student days. As his first step, he thought of a digital version. Where there will be Bengali news and Kolkata news. Not only that, he observed that most of the newspapers in the present era are not serving the right information to the people by forgetting their ethical ideals and serving only commercial interests. People are confused. He is being cheated by exercising his democratic rights in the wrong place. As a result, corruption is increasing day by day in the state and country. That is why he is desperate to take a strong step with his spine straight. So think of creating a platform of protest against injustice of political parties. As a result he booked a news domain on the midnight of December 31, 2015 i.e. January 1, 2016. Which he named “Sangbad Kolkata” (sangbadkolkata.com). From that time the promotion of this organization continued through social media. On 3 June 2018 he booked another domain with this name (sangbadkolkata.in). And his wife started it. Not only this, a YouTube channel of “Sangbad Kolkata” was also created from 5th February 2018. Within march 2019, several people started illegally launching blogs, news portals and mobile news apps using this title. Even started running TV channels illegally. As a result the genuine visitors of “Sangbad Kolkata” got confused. Sangbad Kolkata’s website sangbadkolkata.in visitors and revenue suffers. He was forced to resign from the “digital” edition department of “Bartaman”, the second largest Bengali daily newspaper in the state, and launched the mother domain (sangbadkolkata.com) of “Sangbad Kolkata” by forming a company named “Sambad Kolkata Private Limited”.
